A Tree Hunting We Will Go...

It is a tradition in our household to get our Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. And is has been a Martin Tradition to go and hunt and kill it yourself. (my family was good with tree lots as we got older :}) So here we go, to the woods of Washington State. By the way the trees are only $5!!!

The snow was perfect for snow balls. Here the boys are getting a bit more muddy then snowy!
It was 40 degrees. I bit warmer then we had earlier in the week. But still cold!!
This is our view!!
One tree down one to go...

Tree 2. Down the hill and on to the top of the car.

We had to make a snowman too!!!

One tree up. And a break for lunch. We did run into some good friends on this Mt. today as well! They were out to find the perfect tree...we told them we had both already, but they were up for the hunt themselves. Who would have thought? :)

And then wouldn't you know it, we couldn't find a way to get our tree back home, so we went and bought one at a tree farm today. Boo hoo!

Oh well. Someone up at the Family Farm will probably end up with it...our Christmas present to them ;)

What a great tradition...and great price! You'll have to give me the scoop on where you go!
